ECHELON FLEX™ Powered Staplers

Your Choice of Stapler Matters

Surgical complications are costly, and most importantly, can be devastating for patients. In VATS lobectomy, air leaks and bleeding are among the most common complications, leading to increased morbidity, longer hospital stay and increased costs.

Ethicon is committed to evidence and advancing surgical care to improve patient care and outcomes. We recently completed peer-reviewed studies, which allow us to share compelling evidence that ECHELON FLEX™ Powered Staplers have been associated with improved clinical and economic outcomes compared to Medtronic non-powered staplers.¹

Improved Clincial and Economic Outcomes

Economic evidence from a peer-reviewed study demonstrated that improved hemostasis outcomes were associated with the use of ECHELON FLEX™ PVS plus another ECHELON FLEX™ Powered Stapler—without increasing costs in VATS lobectomy.5 Study published in Advances in Therapy.

The Physiologic Lung Model

The Physiologic Lung Model

First and only benchtop model to simulate mechanical and physiologic breathing (positive and negative pressure), developed in partnership with clinical experts at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Model has the ability to collect and measure air leak source, incidence, and volume.
