Overview

This program provides the advanced practice provider with opportunities to engage in discussions regarding the latest advances in Cardiothoracic surgery. The didactic sessions will discuss the use of advanced wound closure, biosurgery, OR teamwork, and OR set up. The lab experience will focus on the safe and effective use of the complete portfolio of Wound Closure & Biosurgery technologies, EVERPOINT® Cardiovascular Needle, DERMABOND® PRINEO® Skin Closure System, SURGICEL(TM)
Absorbable Hemostats, SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix, VISTASEAL(TM) Fibrin Sealant (Human), EVARREST® Fibrin Patch, STRATAFIX™ Spiral Knotless Tissue Control Device in both open and minimally invasive Cardiovascular procedures.
