The 10-Year Athena Study

“I feel whole again, and I have been given hope...” - Anonymous Athena Breast Cancer Survivor

At Mentor Worldwide LLC (Mentor), we are guided by patient safety and science, and work closely with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to continually monitor the performance of our breast implant products.  That’s why we are sponsoring a clinical study (the words study and trial will be used here interchangeably) for women in need of larger size breast implants for breast reconstruction or revision breast reconstruction.  The purpose of this study is to determine the ongoing safety and effectiveness of Mentor’s larger size Ultra High Profile (UHP-L) smooth breast implants in women who are undergoing primary breast reconstruction or revision breast reconstruction.
