The size and shape of the uterus with multiple uterine fibroids will best be approached with abdominal (open) myomectomy. An abdominal myomectomy is an operation to remove the fibroids via the abdominal route while preserving the uterus and requires opening the abdominal wall.
Indications & Objectives
- Uterine fibroids that cause bothersome pressure, bleeding, or other problems
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Chronic Pelvic Pain
- Infertility
- Urinary Frequency or Pressure
