Pre-operative patient care
Typical recommendations for pre-operative care may include, but are not limited to, any of the following:
- Dedicated preoperative counseling on the procedure and risk of salpingo-oophorectomy, post-operative recovery and pain management, precautions after surgery.
- Addressing medical conditions prior to surgery, correction of anemia, tobacco cessation ideally 4 weeks prior.
- Fasting guidelines according to your institution or guidelines on enhanced recovery after surgery.
