About this device
TRUFILL™ Differentiators
Every AVM is unique, the TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System provides you with the flexibility needed to create a customized SOLUTION for each patient.
Each procedure presents with different challenges and only you know what SOLUTION is right for your patient. The TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System empowers you to:
- Adjust polymerization times to the hemodynamic flow rate and distal embolization desired
- Customize the amount of TRUFILL™ Tantalum in the SOLUTION to meet your visualization need
Good Safety Profile
Complication rates associated with TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System are numerically lower than those with Onyx LES but not statistically significant (an RCT and 2 retrospective studies reported similar overall complication rates in the cohort of patients treated with TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System compared to Onyx LES cohort.)
Lower Total Procedural Costs
TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System does not require the use of expensive detachable tip microcatheters or dual lumen balloon catheters.3
Clinical evidence
Studies have demonstrated that TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System has:
1.6%
Low Catheter Retention Rate
In a randomized control trial, the catheter retention rate of TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System of 1.6% (1/63) was lower than 9.3% (5/54) for Onyx LES.1
~37 min
Significantly Shorter Fluoroscopy Time
The mean fluoroscopy time of 37±21 minutes with TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System, significantly shorter than 57±26 minutes observed with ONYX™ LES (p <0.0001).2
~2.1 hrs
Significantly Shorter Procedural Time
A 2008 retrospective study reported a mean procedure time with the TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System of 2.1±0.9 hours was reported to be significantly shorter than with ONYX™ LES of 2.6±0.8 hours (p=0.001).2
