ECHELON ENDOPATH™ Staple Line Reinforcement
Experience easy application for OR efficiency with our ECHELON ENDOPATH™ Staple Line Reinforcement (SLR). It is designed to stay in place during tissue manipulation1,2A and features an added layer of protection to reinforce the staple line, helping keep your focus squarely on the patient and procedure.
About this device
ECHELON ENDOPATH™ Staple Line Reinforcement is the first and only buttress designed for all ETHICON™ and ECHELON™ Laparoscopic Staplers. It can be used with 60mm ETHICON™ 3D Reloads or ECHELON™ Gripping Surface Technology (GST) Reloads and indicated for use in surgical procedures where soft tissue transection or resection with staple line reinforcement is needed. It also works with Intuitive SureForm™ 60mm blue, green, and black reloads.

Safe and effective performance in lung resection procedures
In a multi-center clinical study of thoracic procedures, no prolonged air leaks or empyema occurred that surgeons reported were related to the ECHELON ENDOPATH™ Staple Line Reinforcement (SLR).3
Innovative, evidence-backed testing
In benchtop testing using the Ethicon Physiologic Lung Model, the use of ECHELON ENDOPATH™ Staple Line Reinforcement was associated with significantly fewer staple line air leaks.4B
Physiologic Lung Model was developed in partnership with clinical experts at Massachusetts General Hospital, it is the first and only benchtop model to simulate mechanical and physiologic breathing to measure air leaks by incidence and volume.

Seamless tissue manipulation
Buttress affixes across the entire anvil and cartridge face with no slipping, twisting, sliding, or bunching.7,8C Designed for fast and easy loading, the buttress stays in place as surgeons manipulate tissue, yet gently releases on to tissue during stapling.1,2A
