Post-operative patient care

Typical recommendations for post-operative care may include, but are not limited to, any of the following:

  • Postoperatively, monitor patients for respiratory, cardiac, and renal function in the ICU.
  • Frequent neurovascular check to both legs.
  • ERAS protocol such as early feeding, ambulation, remove foley catheter, non-narcotic pain control.
  • Post-operative follow up includes ankle brachial indices.
