ENDOPATH XCEL™ Trocars with OPTIVIEW™ Technology
Trocars are the first point of contact into a patient and need to do many jobs - maximize visibility and maneuverability, enable surgical flow, and minimize exposure to pneumoperitoneum gas. ENDOPATH XCEL™ Trocars with OPTIVIEW™ Technology are designed to reduce smudging of the endoscope upon reinsertion by wiping, wicking and absorbing fluid that builds up inside the trocar.1,2A
About this device
ENDOPATH XCEL™ Trocars with OPTIVIEW™ Technology are surgical instruments used in minimally invasive surgery that function as a portal for subsequent insertion of other endoscopic instruments. The proprietary OPTIVIEW™ Technology wipes, wicks, and absorbs bodily fluid and debris from the endoscope shaft as it is removed from the trocar.3-6
Select from a versatile portfolio: bladeless, dilating tip, blunt tip, and universal sleeve options, each available in 5mm and 12mm sizes.

Quality index score of 92 or higher indicates a less than 20% chance of having to re‐wipe the endoscope lens due to trocar induced smudging.

F. On a benchtop test measuring leak rate with a 4.7mm probe, B5LT leak rate standard deviation was 82% less than ONB5STF, 93% less than CFR03 and 88% less than CTR03.
