Features & Benefits

Bacteriostatic properties
Inhibits bacterial growth to help protect against mesh contamination. In an in vitro study, PROCEED Mesh demonstrated bacteriostatic properties against bacteria commonly found in surgical site infections (MRSA, MRSE, VRE, and E. coli)1*

Supports safe and comfortable healing
Trusted by surgeons for 10+ years. A study from the International Hernia Mesh Registry found that patients receiving open hernia repair with PROCEED® Surgical Mesh reported significant improvement in pain and movement limitations from baseline at 12 months postsurgery.2†

Three distinct mesh materials
Designed to reinforce hernia repairs and other fascial deficiencies3 Nonabsorbable PROLENE® Soft Polypropylene Mesh provides strength and allows for tissue ingrowth.3 Oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) provides a bioresorbable layer that physically separates the polypropylene mesh from underlying tissue and organ surfaces during wound healing, to minimize tissue attachment; absorbed within 4 weeks.3,4 PDS® (polydioxanone) Suture polymer film creates a flexible, secure bond between the polypropylene and ORC and is absorbed within 6 months.3
