Features & Benefits

- Provides consistent movement in response to contact force using precision spring
- Sends accurate location reference signal via location sensor and transmitter coil
- Promotes consistent lesion formation
- Reduces ablation time2
- Improves outcomes with more stable catheter-tissue contact force3
- Force-sensing technology that provides real-time measurement of contact force between the catheter tip and the heart wall
- Tip electrode serves to deliver RF current from the RF generator to the desired ablation site
- A thermocouple temperature sensor is embedded in the tip electrode
- High-torque shaft with a bi-directional deflectable tip section containing an array of electrodes

J Am Coll Cardiol 2014;64:647–56. *Success defined as freedom from any symptomatic atrial arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia) 12 months postprocedure when operator remained in the preset contact force range. The success rate improved to 81% (from 74%) when the investigator stayed within their preselected CF range =80% of the time (=85%: n=48; <85%: n=53). Further sub-analysis showed that when the contact force was within investigator-selected range =85% of time, success rate increased by 21% to 88% (=85%: n=32; <85%: n=73).
