VICRYL Woven and Knitted Meshes may be used wherever temporary wound or organ support is required. The woven mesh structure is less porous than the knitted mesh and is indicated in instances in which containment of wound transudate is desirable. The knitted mesh structure is indicated in instances in which compliant and stretchable support material is desired and containment of wound transudate is not required. Both the woven and knitted mesh may be cut to the shape or size desired for each specific application.
