DePuy Synthes, the orthopaedic company of Johnson & Johnson, has entered into a partnership with Digital Pathway Specialists, Open Medical Ltd, in the UK with the aim of enhancing digital patient care pathways in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery.
The partnership will see DePuy Synthes offer its NHS customers the PathpointTM eTrauma platform, alongside its orthopaedic medical device technology, as part of its value-based healthcare solutions.
eTrauma is a cloud-based clinical coordination platform, that replaces whiteboards, notebooks and paper lists with digital pathways. It supports clinical teams to configure & customise pathways that are designed to centralise and streamline orthopaedic trauma patient care.
Gavin Meadows, Trauma Business Unit Director at DePuy Synthes GB, said: “For more than a year now the NHS has faced unprecedented capacity and resource challenges as a result of COVID-19. During the pandemic, DePuy Synthes Trauma sought to respond purposefully in bringing new technologies to our customers that support the optimization and streamlining of patient care whilst protecting outcomes, and our partnership with Open Medical is an exciting example of this.”
