Less Soft Tissue Interference Postoperatively

Because the majority of the ORTHOCORD™ Suture braid is composed of absorbable PDS, the knot profile continues to diminish after surgery¹, which may result in less soft tissue interference post-healing.

Designed for Easy Handling for Suture Manipulation and Knot Tying

ORTHOCORD™ Suture offers a balance of knot maneuverability, knot security, and elastic tension and is designed to provide good handling and flexibility for the surgeon. Testing has shown size 2 ORTHOCORD™ Suture to be 45% less stiff than size 2 FiberWire^® Suture.²

Less Bacteria

The monofilament polydioxanone (PDS) component of ORTHOCORD™ Suture helps promote significantly less bacterial adherence.³
