Features & Benefits
Clinical Heritage
Based upon the LCS Mobile Bearing Total Knee System, originally implanted in 1977.
MBT Rotating Platform Technology
Rotational freedom to actively diffuse loosening forces.1 Self-alignment of the tibial insert to the femoral component.
AOX™ Antioxidant Polyethylene
Tibial inserts available in AOX™ Antioxidant Polyethylene, featuring COVERNOX™ Antioxidant. COVERNOX Antioxidant stabilizes free radicals and prevents oxidation.2 Addition of an antioxidant eliminates the need for a heat treatment, thus maintains excellent mechanical properties.2 Moderate levels of cross-linking for wear performance similar to XL.
Cementless Fixation
Cementless fixation options available on the LCS COMPLETE Femoral Component, MBT tibial tray, and mobile bearing patella component. Features POROCOAT® Porous Coating

Indications for Use
The LCS® COMPLETE Mobile Bearing Total Knee System is indicated for cemented use in cases of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The RPS inserts and femoral component are indicated where a higher than normal degree of post-operative flexion is required. The porous coated Keeled and Non Keeled M.B.T. (Mobile Bearing Tibial) Tray configurations of the LCS Total Knee System are indicated for noncemented use in skeletally mature individuals undergoing primary surgery for reconstructing knees damaged as a result of noninflammatory degenerative joint disease (NIDJD) or either of its composite diagnoses of osteoarthritis and post-traumatic arthritis pathologies. The Rotating Platform device configuration is indicated for use in knees whose anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are absent or are in such condition as to justify their sacrifice.
