MENTOR® CPX®4 Breast Tissue Expander

MENTOR® CPX®4 Breast Tissue Expander

Used in breast reconstruction surgery, MENTOR® CPX® 4 Breast Tissue Expander is designed to expand primarily in the lower portion of the breast, so the resulting pocket will accommodate the implant and slope like a natural looking breast.1,2 It also has an integral "injection dome" that allows surgeons to add saline solution to the expander and gradually stretch the breast tissue over several months.1,2

Features & Benefits

Intraoperative

lntraoperative

Soft and flexible BufferZone® Self-Sealing Patch is designed to help ease insertion and removal during tissue expansion for breast reconstruction.3-6* Suturing tabs are designed to stabilise the surgical positioning of the MENTOR® CPX®4 with Suture Tabs allowing immediate expansion to occur where it is intended before tissue adherence has occurred.2,7

During Breast Expansion

Breast Expansion

The proprietary BufferZone® Self-Sealing Patch and the posterior Dacron® patch focus the expansion toward the lower pole of the breast.1,2 The MENTOR® CPX®4 Breast Tissue Expander is designed to enhance comfort through the inclusion of a more pliant MENTOR® BufferZone® Self-Sealing Patch and a smooth injection dome.**8-11 The injection dome magnet is 48% stronger* to make it easier to find the injection dome under the patient's skin.12

Continuing Our Commitment to Safety and Reliability

Committed to Safety and Reliability13,14,15

CPX® 4 Breast Tissue Expanders maintain key features fundamental to the MENTOR® Tissue Expander Portfolio to continue our legacy of safety and reliability: SILTEX® Surface; Suture Tabs; Dacron® Patch; BufferZone® Self-Sealing Patch. CPX® 4 Breast Tissue Expanders include an internal injection dome, which contains a magnet (Please reference the IFU for relevant contraindications and warnings).13,14,15 The BufferZone® Self-Sealing Patch surrounds the integral injection dome to protect at least 50% more of the expander surface area (than the injection dome alone) from accidental needle puncture to minimise and/or prevent device leakage and the need for additional surgery.16

2nd Stage Breast Reconstruction Surgery

2nd Stage Breast Reconstruction Surgery

The proprietary BufferZone® Self-Sealing Patch and the Dacron® patch drive lower pole expansion to mimic the shape of a natural breast.1
