(*) A tough clot is an adherent, durable thrombus, that has a high stiffness making it resistant to endovascular thrombectomy.
General characteristics of these clots are that they are fibrous and consist of few RBCs. In vitro thrombectomy simulation with tough clots result in inferior revascularization rates compared to the full population of clots.
Two systems are available: A DELTAFILL™ 10 System with primary outer diameter of 0.0105” and a DELTAFILL™ 18 System with primary outer diameter of 0.015”. DELTAFILL® 18 can maximize packing density and coil uniformity.*1
