ENDOPATH™ Insufflation Needles

The ENDOPATH™ Pneumoneedle Insufflation Needle and Ultra Veress Needle are used to establish pneumoperitoneum prior to abdominal endoscopy. Each device utilizes a spring-loaded, blunt stylet safety mechanism. Features of both devices include: 14-gauge stainless steel needle, attached at its proximal end to a plastic comfort handle containing a stopcock and a Luer lock connector for insufflating the abdominal cavity.

The hole created by a needle is larger than the suture, leaving a gap that creates a bleeding risk. Traditional suture does not fill this hole. PROLENE Suture with HEMO-SEAL Technology has a 1-to-1 needle-to-suture ratio, completely filling the hole created by the needle.¹ It is designed to reduce suture line bleeding and improve visualization in the surgical field.
