The ATTUNE™ Knee System continues to grow its portfolio through technologies like 3D-Printed Titanium technologies to provide a broad range of solutions for patients.

CEMENTLESS STRUCTURES

AFFIXIUM™ 3D Printed Technology

The AFFIXIUM™ 3D Printed Technology is an engineered 3D printing porous structure designed for cementless implants to promote bone ingrowth. The technology is designed to create a three-dimensional lattice structure resembling trabecula of cancellous bone. AFFIXIUM 3DP Technology utilizes a stronger titanium alloy material (ASTM F3001) (versus commercially pure Ti per ASTM F67). It is then purposefully designed and manufactured to maintain structure strength and finished with Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) to completely close internal pore defects, achieving the highest quality 3D printed material in orthopedics.

Like every ATTUNE™ Knee technology, the ATTUNE™ Cementless FB Knee has been designed based on the latest available insights in knee replacement technology.

Initial Stability

Initial stability is critical to biologic fixation. We designed AFFIXIUM™ with several key elements to increase initial stability, including four optimally located pegs with scallops and a cruciform keel.

Bone in-growth with ATTUNE™ AFFIXIUM study

Biologic Fixation

Made possible via the advanced 3D printed porous Titanium structure using AFFIXIUM™ 3DP Technology. The porous technology coats the tibial substrate, the proximal cruciform keel and the scalloped pegs.

Kinematic Performance

The design and development of the ATTUNE™ Knee System resulted in over 200 patents. Some of these technologies, like ATTUNE™ GRADIUS Curve, GLIDERIGHT Articulation and LOGICLOCK are incorporated within the femoral component and help elevate patient performance in a cementless implant.
