Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How can I get a Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible?
A Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible can be defined based on a PROPLAN CMF Case. Depending on the need, the plate be designed based on a virtual surgical plan performed with the surgeon or it can be designed based on a mandible reconstructed using mirroring technology.
How do I get started?
Use PROPLAN CMF Online or a Request for Service - Mandible and midface reconstruction to initiate a case in combination with a PROPLAN CMF planning. Use the Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible Request for Service form if you want to use a Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible based on a virtual plan performed with another planning software than PROPLAN CMF Software.
What else do I need in order to perform a case with Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible?
In order to perform a surgery with Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible, you will need at least the following:
- MatrixMANDIBLE Transbuccal set
- MatrixMANDIBLE Recon Screws module or MatrixMANDIBLE Compact Recon module
- At least one screwdriver handle with hex coupling
Is there anything else needed for the surgery with Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible?
An alternative plan has to be considered for the eventuality that a deviation from the plan takes place (e.g., more extensive resection than planned, insufficient stretching allowance of the soft tissue, etc.). The alternative plan can be any other reconstruction set (MatrixMANDIBLE, 2.4 UniLOCK, 2.0 LOCK or a non-DePuy Synthes system) that covers the indication associated with the planned surgery.
What does the price of the Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible cover?
The price of the Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible (e.g., article SD480.xxx) covers the design and the manufacturing of the plate. The virtual plan, surgical guides, anatomical models and screws are charged separately.
Can the Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible be used with the Condylar Head Add-on?
Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible can be used with Condylar Head Add-on. Please contact the TRUMATCH CMF team should such cases arise. The development time might be longer than for a plate without.
Is the Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible compatible with the 2.4 UniLOCK system?
The Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible is exclusively designed to work with MatrixMANDIBLE implants and instruments. There is no plan to make the Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible available for other systems.
Is the plate bundled with the screws that were suggested during the plate design?
No. The screws need to be ordered separately (e.g. sterile or non-sterile) or taken from the set during the surgery.
Do I need to order an anatomical model for the Titanium 3D-Milled Plate for Mandible?
